Help conserve our environment and improve our quality of life

Are you OUTRAGED by how much we waste? Do you want to DO SOMETHING about it?

If so, we'd like to hear from you. Perhaps we can harness you talents and satisfy your desire to improve things. What about these opportunities?

Plastics

One or more volunteers are needed to help manage e the plastics collection point in Machynlleth car park. Full sacks need to be moved from the wooden shed to the adjacent metal container periodically. The Welshpool-based charity Cae Post collects them when there are enough to fill the vehicle. Let's not lose this service! Discuss it with Ann Mills at Cyfle Newydd: 01654 703463

Composting

The garden waste collected at Machynlleth car park goes to the Welshpool area. We could use it here if we set up one or more community composting schemes. We could also collect garden waste in villages. Contact andy.rowland@ecodyfi.org.uk if you are interested.

Organisers!

More generally, we need a group of volunteers who are keen to reduce waste in the Dyfi valley. Contact Andy Rowland to get involved.
