What to recycle where in the Dyfi Valley

Kerbside collection

Ceredigion: There is no kerbside collection in the Dyfi Valley district of Ceredigion currently. It is being piloted in South Ceredigion.

Powys: This happens on the same day as normal waste collection. Outside of Machynlleth this happens in: Derwenlas, Forge, Penegoes, Abergwydol, Cemmaes Road, Glantwymyn, Commins Coch, Llanbrynmair, Talerddig, Llanwrin, Pantperthog, Ceinws, Cemmaes, Cwm-Llinau.

For all other recycling needs:

Potters, Station Yard, Machynlleth: bulky household waste & recycling centre. For FREE disposal of ALL domestic household waste, including batteries. Operated by Potters Recycling, Severn Road, Welshpool. Tel. 01938 552 396 www.pottersrecycling.co.uk

Note: Services/sites operated by particular county councils are provided for residents of their respective counties.

Phoenix & CRAFT are non profit making organisations providing work & training opportunities to excluded members of the community. Neither of them is able to take gas appliances.

Powys County Council plans to introduce a re-use scheme for some bulky household items.
