Do it with DaiA new website giving information on travel in Mid Wales, including a car sharing search facility was launched Monday 20th Sept.

The website is believed to be one of the first of its kind in Wales.

The 'doitwithdai' website has been created to offer a collaborative way of searching for the best mode of transport to suit the needs of the traveller.

It also has a specific facility which allows people across Mid Wales to search for other people from their area whom travel to the same place as them.

Commuters in particular will benefit from this website as they can register, and then do a search to look whether anyone in their village or town passes by their workplace on a daily basis.

Having this facility will enable Mid Wales residents to car share on regular or one-off journeys, thus reducing pollution, saving them costs and mileage, and reducing traffic congestion.

The website has been developed by TraCC, the Mid Wales Transport Consortium in partenership with liftshare.com.

Visit the www.doitwithdai.org.uk for more information.

Register your journey and your information, the website will then search the database for possible matches and give you the details of other people going your way.

You can contact any suitable travelling companions via their e-mail and arrange to meet them at a collection point that suits you both.
