Being Active Outdoors could mean:

Walking

  • At beginner level unless otherwise stated – usually just an hour or two at a pace to suit you!
  • Please wear strong shoes and bring food/water, waterproofs and sun protection as appropriate
  • Walks in Welsh are for learners, first language Welsh speakers and anyone else who’d like to hear a little spoken Welsh – but you can speak whatever language you like!!

Get Growing

  • At beginner level
  • 10 week practical course every 2 Tuesdays
  • Starts 18 March at Ynyslas, 25 March at Pantperthog
  • Includes organic vegetable growing and wildlife gardening
  • Shared small allotment and harvest
  • Certificate of attendance
  • Can follow the course on-line
  • Please bring lunch, waterproofs, gloves, wellingtons, sun protection as appropriate
  • Wear old clothes

Conservation

  • At beginner level
  • To include skills development and information about the natural environment
  • The chance to put something back into your community
  • Activity leaders will tailor to suit your interests
  • Please bring lunch, waterproofs, gloves, wellingtons, sun protection as appropriate

Pregnancy Yoga + Walks

  • Wear something loose and bring a blanket
  • We’ll do some of the exercises outside
  • May be some free crèche spaces
  • Free!
  • Tea, coffee etc provided – you might like to donate 50p for this
  • Come for a short walk outside

  • Led by a trained walk leader
  • Strong, sensible shoes

Woodland skills

  • Developmental course with qualified leaders
  • Wear old clothes

Cycling

  • Various times to suit various levels
  • No fitness required
  • We can teach you to cycle or help you to remember how
  • We have 6 bikes for you to borrow – but you’ll have to book them!!
  • Come to the maintenance session first so we can check your bike is ok!

Rock and River club

  • Activities may include sailing, walks, gorge walking, kayaks, climbing, mtb, raft building
  • For young people and their guardians/parents
  • Bring refreshments
  • Most gear provided
