The North Powys Happy Bin Project

The second Happy Bin project was completed by nine primary schools and one After School Club in December 2006.

The After School Club totally eliminated waste for the duration of the project.

Over the project seven of the nine primary schools managed large reductions in waste.

The average reduction in waste per pupil per week exceeded 50%.

The largest reductions were achieved at Dolfor (91%), Measyrhandir (79%) and Caersws (70%) schools.
