Welcome to the Happy Bin Pilot Project

The pilot project of this waste minimisation project was completed by nine rural primary schools in the Dyfi Valley area in July 2006.

Over the project the average reduction in waste per pupil per week exceeded 50%.

Four of the smaller schools (Aberdyfi, Pennal, Dinas Mawddwy and Glantwymym) were able to reduce their waste by between 70 and 90% over the project.

A new Happy Bin project is running in spring 2007.
