Keith made a beautiful banner which unfortunately was not used in Mach
as planned, but will be kept for next year.
Duncan will send us the form for Co-op discount card.
Agreed to continue temporary group responsibilities (as in July 3rd news
- for accounts, liaison, secretary) until September meeting.
2. Thanks to Will for all his extremely hard work and dedication
to Dyfi Valley for Fair Trade, and very best wishes to him and Lyn and
all the family for his good recovery.
3. Funding
Keith produced an end of year account for 2003/2004 and interim account
for April - July 2004. The group received 700 in loans in response to
the appeal - thanks to everyone! The outstanding loan of 800 to Will
to be repaid during the year.
Thanks to the loans the July bank balance was £118.56 in credit but we
need to FUNDRAISE urgently. We have one application in to the Mid Wales
Co-op and expect the decision in September. We agreed we need both fundraising
events and more applications to funding agencies.
ACTION Nicola offered to check Comic Relief. Keith will check councils.
Andy of PEDEC has advised that we need to have a constitution to apply
to most funding agencies.
ACTION - to discuss in September.
ACTION All members asked to rack their brains for ideas on funding
We agreed Keith should have 35 for group petty cash.
4. Application for Fairtrade Zone status
FT Foundation say that it will take about a month to process the application.
They can schedule this to fit with a launch date we set.
7 FT Pledges from organisations have been collected - 3 MORE NEEDED urgently.
Send signed pledges or ask for pledge forms from Nicola (address and tel.
below)
