Fairtrade campaign areas
The idea is to devolve campaigning to individuals or small groups who know
the people they are approaching
- County Councils (3) - someone to take on making sure resolutions are in
place
- Community Councils (12) - 12 people to take resolutions forward here
- Schools - secondary schools and primary schools
- Churches -
- Workplaces
- Shops - Stores could have various targets right up to a prominent and permanent
Fairtrade display.
- B & B's - At least serve Fairtrade Tea and Coffee
- Hotels - At least serve Fairtrade Tea and Coffee
- Cafes - At least serve Fairtrade Tea and Coffee
- Restaurants - At least serve Fairtrade Tea and Coffee
- Community organisations - At least serve Fairtrade Tea and Coffee, also
chocolate
- Homes - Homes could achieve a Fairtrade sticker by using Fairtrade tea or
coffee
Locally produced Fairtrade
Research group and pilot project.
The aims might be different from international Fairtrade: not just financial
but maybe also looking at lowering 'food miles', nature conservation, organic
practices, etc.
Monitoring
Feeding back the story of what has been achieved - in both financial and human
relationship terms.
