  • Machynlleth Co-op - end of shelf display, dumb bins, banner, stall in store for FT fortnight, 8 foot display posters, FT staff champion, 20% off all FT for FT fortnight, FT range for local meetings (esp 19th Feb and 10th March, �30 worth), maybe 10th birthday chocolate cake Meeting with DR and Diana Lewis, Store Manager asap. with couple of people

  • Tywyn - small Co-op members group

  • Dolgellau - Ursula Trade Craft rep.

  • 100 sample boxes for region in FT fortnight

  • Co-op FT and music day Aberystwyth Sat 13th March - music workshops and gig, family afternoon and 14+ evening

  • Cycle ride to Garstang - riders welcome - staging 10th March Wrexham, 11th March Liverpool, 12th march Garstang.

  • Chair: agreed to rotate. DI next meeting.

  • Powys meeting, Llanidloes, 22 Jan: KJ and DI could go. Anyone else welcome.

  • North Wales Forum, Criccieth Dec. 2003: WH, Sam Howard and Nicola Ruck went. (1) Got to know about 10 other North Wales Groups nearest Traidcraft reps in Bala/Dolgellau and Llanidloes (2) Discuss ft fortnight. (3) Discussed Wales as a ft country - main work by Oxfam in Cardiff.

  • Criccieth has declared FT status.

Machynlleth Public Meeting February 19th. Bro Dyfi Youth Wing 7.30pm.

  • Invite 300 people and organisations to set the ball rolling towards the 1000 promises to use fair trade and display sticker. Names to start a Roll of Honour.

  • Agreed to contact other members of ft group to get all of us to phone/hand/post 12 - 15 invites (already printed) to a list of individuals and groups prepared by KJ and DI. WH to circulate list. Feedback via e-mail by Friday 23 Jan via Will.

  • Chair meeting: bilingual - ask Andy Rowlands (WH) if not Charmian Saville (DI).

Programme:

  • Spilling the Beans (WH = technical),

  • Short discussion

  • 2004 Campaign (KJ with presentation WH to help - stress local aims and how people can help - get 1000 promises (sign) to show sticker and buy food, help distribute 5000 leaflets, rota in Co-op) - also put on web site.

  • FT refreshments (LH and SH etc.)

  • Stands - Co-op produce and Traidcraft - DI

  • Poster display - WH

  • Action Pack - WH and KJ - slip in plastic pockets

  • Vending Machine - ask man ... AM

  • Press work - WH

  • Follow up - sheet for each person there -> meeting after

Next meetings (bit hectic, but busy part of year)

  • Monday 26th Jan, Wynstay 8pm to split up invite lists.

  • Thursday 12th Feb, White Lion, 7.30pm - organising meeting for all

  • Thursday 19th Feb, Bro Dyfi Youth Wing, 7.30 pm - public meeting

  • Monday 1st - Sunday 14th Fair Trade Fortnight - stalls etc.

  • Wednesday 10th March 12 noon Tabernacle lunch time meeting

  • Spending and income of around �200 each noted. WH financing it at present. If much more spending before any income - review at next meeting.

  • Noted Co-op Bank Account being set up.

  • Noted application for �2,000 put into Co-op
