Machynlleth Fair Trade Fortnight 3-16 March 2003

Overall a good success.

Over 30 people took part in the rota for the fair trade stall in the Coop (see picture below) and Market.

They collected 500 signatures for the petition and raised £200 for the campaign through a raffle.

A joint video showing and fair trade game (see below) with the Gwerin a Coed attracted 30 young people.

Coverage was recieved in the Cambrian News, Shropshire Star and other local newspapers.

Activities were held in several local primary and secondary schools involving over 1000 pupils and students.

The Quarry shop and CAT site shop put on Fairtrade displays.

The Coop ran out of fair trade produce a couple of times!
