Fair Trade Fortnight 27 Feb – 11 March 2012

Dyfi Valley will be joining in Welsh celebrations for Fairtrade Fortnight.
This year’s theme is “TAKE A STEP IN FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT”.

• Want to step out to show support for farmers and producers around the world?
• Want to celebrate Wales’ big step as the world’s first Fair Trade Nation?
• Want to take steps to find out what Fairtrade is?

Thursday March 1 HAVE YOU COTTON’D ON?

Fairtrade Cotton Pizzeria evening to meet visiting cotton producers Samatha and Mrunal from India, with music from local duo Blue Hubbard, a display of fairtrade cotton fashions, and a pizza meal. Prize for the best cotton punning slogan! More info below.
7.00 pm Pizzeria, Wynnstay Hotel Machynlleth, tickets £8, £5 unwaged.

Friday and Saturday March 2nd and 3rd TURKEY TANGO

A nutty cabaret with a fairtrade flavour, fairtrade banana fortune telling and raffles.
7.30 pm each night. Tickets £7/ £5 from/at Y Tabernacl Machynlleth

Wednesday 7 March Fairtrade MARKET STALL

In Machynlleth street market from 10.00 - 2.00, with food and crafts on sale, and a raffle
