Grants and advice

Clear Skies, funded by the government, gives householders and communities grants and advice for renewable energy projects. Householders can get �400 to �5000; not-for-profit community organisations up to £100,000. With the companies in the Clear Skies registered installers in Wales list you can apply for or spend a Clear Skies grant.

Clar Skies logo

The Renewable Energy Investment Club enables community renewable energy developments by helping to issue shares to community members. This lets local people to have a financial stake in solar, wind, tidal, hydro or biomass projects. Here is their list of grants and awards.

The Energy Saving Trust's Community Heating fund helps you get one central source of heat to supply to multiple buildings, be they homes, schools, hospitals or offices.
