15 Local Fora have been formed in Powys, including Machynlleth and District, which serves Llanbrynmair, Cadfarch, Glantwymyn and Machynlleth.

The Forum is a way for the community to tell the public authorities what their priorities should be for our area. It works alongside ecodyfi, Town and Community Councils and Communities First to develop an action plan for the valley. Some subjects or themes are discussed through open meetings of the Forum, some through the Communities First process and some through groups coordinated by ecodyfi.

Here are details of the next meetings of the Forum:

Lifelong Learning
Wednesday October 15th, 7.30pm at the Community Centre, Cemmaes Road
Speakers from Powys Training and Powys County Council.

The Environment
Tuesday November 4th, 7.30pm at Cwmllinau Village Hall
Speakers from the Centre for Alternative Technology and the Environment Agency.

For more details contact Andy Rowland, Chair of the Forum, on 01654 703965 or andy.rowland@ecodyfi.org.uk
